The Pustakophaar (or Pustak Uphaar) program is a signature initiative of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) designed to foster a culture of sharing, environmental consciousness, and peer support. At KV ITBP Gauchar, this program has consistently been a highlight of the school's library activities, particularly during the transition between academic sessions.
The word Pustakophaar is derived from "Pustak" (Book) and "Uphaar" (Gift). The program encourages students who have been promoted to higher classes to "gift" their used textbooks and reference materials to their juniors. At KV Gauchar, this initiative is spearheaded by the Vidyalaya Library under the guidance of the Librarian and the Library Committee.
The students of KV ITBP Gauchar have shown immense enthusiasm.
Note to Students: "A book is a gift you can open again and again." Keep the tradition alive by donating your books and helping a junior start their academic journey with ease.
